DEKOMPOSISI TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT MENGGUNAKAN CENDAWAN PELAPUK

Abstract


Tandan kosong kelapa sawit tidak dapat langsung terurai menjadi kompos karena masih dalam bentuk unsur yang kompleks, sehingga harus didegradasi terlebih dahulu dan proses degradasi secara alami memakan waktu yang sangat lama, untuk itu dipakai cendawan untuk mempercepat proses degradasi. *Cendawan pelapuk mempunyai kemampuan ligninolitik, yaitu kemampuan mengelurkan enzim yang dapat mendegradasi lignin. Bahan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi TKKS, dedak, dan kapur dolomit. Bahan dicampur merata kemudian diinokulasi dengan cendawan pelapuk dalam empat perlakuan yaitu tanpa cendawan pelapuk (K0), Pleurotus sp (K1), Tramella sp (K2), danTrichoderma sp (K4). Penelitian ini menunjukkan kualitas kompos dengan parameter yang berbeda seperti suhu, pH, unsur hara makro dan rasio C:N. Perlakuan inokulasi cendawan Trichoderma sp memiliki kualitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Rasio C/N setelah 8 minggu dekomposisi yaitu 22.09. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlakuan inokulasi cendawan Trichoderma sp bisa menjadi biodekomposer potensial untuk TKKS.
