Plagiarism Policy

PENA TEKNIK: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu-Ilmu Teknik strictly enforces a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism and self-plagiarism. All manuscripts submitted to the journal are routinely screened for plagiarism before the peer-review process begins.

Policy

  • Authors must ensure that their submitted work is entirely original and that any material reproduced from other sources is properly cited or quoted.

  • Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently, or publishing essentially the same research in multiple outlets, constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

  • Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given, and authors should cite publications that have significantly influenced the reported research.

Screening Process

  • Each submitted manuscript is checked for plagiarism using Turnitin app as part of the journal’s standard editorial procedure.

  • The editorial team also conducts manual checking to verify the accuracy of quotations and citations using both offline and online databases.

  • If plagiarism is detected with a similarity index greater than 15%, the manuscript will be rejected immediately without further review.

  • Authors may be contacted for clarification or revision if minor similarity is found due to reference overlap or technical phrasing.

This routine screening ensures that all articles published by PENA TEKNIK meet the principles of academic integrity and originality required by international publishing standards.
